V. Subscription Term and Terms for Using the Subscription
  1. The conditions governing the term of the Subscription vary depending on which Subscription was chosen by the Client/Subscriber within the framework of the Subscription plans indicated on the website of Economedia AD. The types of Subscription plans and their terms can be found at https://www.capital.bg/abonament and https://www.dnevnik.bg/abonament.
  2. All fixed-term, annual, and monthly Subscriptions paid with a debit/credit card through the sites of Economedia AD are with automatic renewal for the respective term. Economedia AD may also offer other Subscriptions with automatic renewal, of which you will be notified upon purchase of the respective Subscription. You can stop the automatic renewal of the Subscription through your profile at id.capital.bg (for Capital subscriptions) or id.dnevnik.bg (for Dnevnik subscriptions) or by sending an explicit message to email: [email protected] for "Capital" subscribers and to email: [email protected] for "Dnevnik" subscribers at any time before the expiration of the Subscription term. In the event that you do not terminate the automatic renewal, the Subscription is automatically renewed for the same term, and Economedia AD will charge the same debit/credit card previously used by You to pay for the Subscription. Automatic renewal can be applied an unlimited number of times.
  3. The term of Your Subscription begins from the date of the successful payment of the Subscription price and the receipt by You of an email confirmation from Economedia for a successfully submitted order, received payment, and activation of Your Subscription.
  4. Activation of access to the Subscription is performed officially by Economedia AD on the day of confirmation of the order for the purchased subscription. The previous sentence does not apply to cases where the Client/Subscriber is provided with an access and activation code in connection with a special subscription. In the latter case, access becomes possible after the Client/Subscriber activates the code, and in the event that the Subscription is not activated within the period indicated in the confirmation, the Client/Subscriber loses the right to use the service.
  5. Since print Publications of Capital are delivered through subcontractor companies, their delivery begins in the first week following the week of payment for the Subscription, in the event that payment is made by the 23rd day of the respective month, and for Subscriptions paid after the 23rd day of the current month, Economedia additionally confirms the starting delivery date to the Subscriber/Client. The starting date for delivery of a concluded Subscription for a Capital print edition may also vary depending on the delivery address, with Economedia AD notifying the Client/Subscriber of the possibilities within 5 (five) working days of the conclusion of the Subscription contract. With the implementation of the first delivery of the respective print Subscription, the term of the Subscription Contract also begins to run.
  6. In the event that the Subscription was made through authorized partner-providers, the Client/Subscriber is obliged to inform themselves of the deadlines announced by them for starting deliveries under the Subscription.
VI. Subscription Prices and Promotional Conditions
  1. Subscription prices are announced on the site www.economedia.bg, on the pages with the subscription plans on the sites www.capital.bg and www.dnevnik.bg, in the catalogs of the authorized partner-providers of Economedia AD, and in some advertising materials/platforms for Subscription. You agree to pay the price notified to You at the moment you purchase your Subscription by sending the subscription purchase order/request. Economedia AD reserves the right to change the price of any Subscription, to remove and/or offer certain other Subscriptions, as well as to change the content and/or services for them. We will always notify you in advance of any price increase when it concerns the price of Your Subscription, as well as in the event of a change in the services provided under Your Subscription, in which case we will offer you the opportunity to terminate your Subscription if you do not wish for the new conditions to be applied. All changes in subscription prices apply with "forward-looking" effect - i.e., they do not concern Subscription Contracts already concluded and subject to current performance.
  2. In the event that the cover price of a print Publication increases during the term of the Subscription, the Client/Subscriber does not pay the difference.
  3. If you have purchased a digital Subscription with a "trial period" under preferential conditions or a promotional "introductory offer," you can terminate your Subscription at any time before the expiration of the trial period or the offer period. Unless you terminate before the end of this period, Your Subscription will automatically continue as a standard paid Subscription.
  4. In the presence of special editions, discs, or applications that appear additional for the respective Subscription, Economedia AD reserves the right to determine whether they are distributed free of charge or purchased additionally upon a request made by the respective Client/Subscriber.
  5. When a price discount for events organized by Economedia AD and/or partners of Economedia AD is included in the Subscription, the discount is from the standard event registration price and does not apply to any other promotional price for the event. The event registration discount can only be used during the period in which the Client/Subscriber has an active Subscription.
VII. Delivery of Print Publications
  1. Delivery of print Publications is performed to a mailbox at the indicated delivery address - the Client/Subscriber should have a mailbox of suitable size (in view of the dimensions of the respective Publication) at the delivery address, which should be secure (with a key) and marked with a plaque with the name of the Subscription recipient. In the event that the entrance door of the building at the delivery address is locked, the Client/Subscriber should provide a key for free access for the postman/courier to the mailbox. In the absence of a mailbox or in the presence of a mailbox with dimensions that do not allow the placement of publications in it, Economedia bears no responsibility for the eventual non-receipt of the same by the Client/Subscriber. It is also possible to deliver to a business building, where publications can be left at a porter, reception, or security, with the Client/Subscriber undertaking to notify the above of the delivery of the respective Publications.
  2. Economedia AD reserves the right to refuse to conclude a Subscription for areas where delivery is objectively difficult (e.g., when the Client/Subscriber has not provided conditions for normal delivery (in accordance with what is described above in these General Conditions), and/or in the event that the delivery costs to the address indicated by the Client/Subscriber are economically unjustified in accordance with the value of the Subscription (e.g., in the event that partner-providers (indicated in these General Conditions) do not have a distribution/delivery to the indicated address). In case of refusal of a Subscription, the Client/Subscriber will be informed, and the sum paid for the Subscription will be refunded.
VIII. Complaints Valid Only for Print Publication Subscriptions
  1. Complaints for defective or undelivered issues are accepted within one week of the release date of the print Publication - for weekly editions. For monthly editions, the deadline for complaints is until the end of the month following the distribution.
  2. Complaints are requested/submitted at phone 02/46 15 349, at email: [email protected], or in person at the Subscription Center of Economedia AD at address: Sofia 1000, 30 Ivan Vazov St., fl. 1.
  3. Received complaints are considered within 7 (seven) working days, after which the Client/Subscriber is notified of the measures taken. In the presence of delivered damaged copies or ones with factory defects - a new issue of the respective publication without defects is delivered to the Client/Subscriber. In the event of undelivered copies, a new issue of the respective Publication is delivered to the Client/Subscriber.
  4. In case of a systemic problem with delivery (delivery delay of over 7 days or non-receipt of the Publication(s)), Economedia provides the Client/Subscriber with one of the following options:
    • (i) to change the delivery address or the provider/courier - by contacting us at [email protected], by filling out the feedback form, or by calling us at phone: 02 461 53 49;
    • (ii) to request to receive the edition at the Subscription Center of Economedia, at address Sofia, 30 Ivan Vazov St., fl. 1.
  5. In the event that the Subscription was made through an Authorized partner-provider, complaints are submitted to them.
  6. Economedia AD bears no responsibility for delivery delays or non-receipt of Publications in cases where the Subscription is concluded through Authorized partners/providers.
  7. Economedia AD also bears no responsibility in cases where, through the fault of the Subscriber/Client, the declared delivery address is wrong or incomplete/inaccurate.
IX. Termination of Subscription

1.1. The Client/Subscriber can withdraw from a Subscription purchased online within 14 days of the start of the Subscription by sending an email to [email protected] without stating a reason for the termination.

1.2. For Subscriptions for print Publications, this 14-day period begins to run from the date of delivery to the Client/Subscriber's address of the first print Publication included in the Subscription. For other Subscriptions, the period for (faultless) withdrawal from the Subscription by the Client/Subscriber begins to run from the date following the date of subscription activation.

1.3. Upon a withdrawal requested by the Client/Subscriber under the procedure of this point, the Client/Subscriber immediately stops receiving the Subscription and having access to the Publications included in it. In this case, within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal, Economedia AD refunds the price paid by the Client/Subscriber for the purchase of the respective Subscription to a bank account specified by the latter. Upon withdrawal from a print publication Subscription, the proportional sum for each print Publication received by the Client/Subscriber before the withdrawal from the Subscription is deducted from the sum subject to refund.

1.4. The statement of withdrawal from a Subscription under the conditions of this point is submitted by filling out a standard form for exercising the right of withdrawal from a contract or by sending a message to [email protected], in which message the following are indicated: order number and date, current telephone and email for contact with the user, and a statement of the desire to terminate the Subscription.
  1. For cases where the Subscription is with automatic renewal, the Client/Subscriber can request to stop the automatic renewal of a subscription by entering their profile and unmarking/removing the marking in the "automatic renewal" column or sending an email to [email protected] for "Capital" and [email protected] for "Dnevnik". In this case, the Subscription will terminate upon expiration of the current, last agreed subscription term.
  2. The Subscription Contract is terminated upon expiration of the term of the contract in the event that the Subscription is not subject to automatic renewal.
  3. Any annual Subscription can be terminated with a three-month written notice by sending an email to [email protected] for "Capital" and [email protected] for "Dnevnik". In this case of early termination and not due to the fault of Economedia AD, the Client/Subscriber owes Economedia compensation in the amount of the monetary value of all trade discounts provided by Economedia AD in favor of the Client/Subscriber upon purchase of the respective Subscription. The sum for the remainder of the Subscription period after deducting the owed compensation under the previous sentence will be refunded to You to a bank account provided by You.
  4. Upon termination of the (Subscription) contract outside the cases under point 1 and point 4 of this section, the Client/Subscriber retains their right to (use) the Subscription until the end of the paid subscription period.
  5. In cases of Subscription with automatic renewal, the Client/Subscriber can terminate the automatic renewal of the Subscription at any time, but the termination of the Subscription and the use of services under it will enter into force on the day following the final date of the term for which the Client/Subscriber has paid Economedia AD remuneration for the use/delivery of the Subscription.
  6. Economedia AD may terminate Your Subscription at any time, without owing a refund of sums paid, with a message, if:
  • (i) you do not perform the respective payment to Economedia when such is due;
  • (ii) you do not provide information that is necessary for providing the Subscription within a reasonable period after such (information) has been requested by a (representative of) Economedia AD;
  • and/or (iii) if you violate these General Conditions or the active legislation. Upon establishment of violations under the conditions of this point, Economedia sends a notification email to the email address of the Client/Subscriber indicated upon purchasing the subscription, with which Economedia notifies the Client/Subscriber that if within a 5 (five) day period the Client/Subscriber does not cease the violations, resp. does not fulfill their commitments under the concluded Subscription contract (and the appendices to it), the Subscription will be terminated through the fault of the Client/Subscriber.
  1. Outside the above cases, You can terminate your Subscription by sending an email to [email protected] for "Capital" and [email protected] for "Dnevnik," if:
  • (i) you do not agree with a change in the Subscription or these General Conditions of which we have notified You, including for a change in price that directly affects Your Subscription;
  • (ii) we suspend the provision of the Subscription without grounds;
  • (iii) you have a legal right to terminate the Subscription due to a reason for which we bear responsibility. In this case, the sum for the remainder of the Subscription period will be refunded to You to a bank account provided by You.
X. Explicit Renewal of a Subscription
  1. In cases of an annual subscription without automatic renewal, Economedia has the obligation 30 (thirty) days before the expiration of the Subscription to notify the Client/Subscriber via email or telephone call, with a view to the eventual renewal of the contract term. Economedia AD may contact the Client/Subscriber via their contact data even after the expiration of the (term of) their last Subscription to offer them to subscribe to the same or a similar Economedia Publication. The Client/Subscriber can object to this use of their data at any time.
XI. Copyrights. Personal Data Protection. Licensing Conditions.
  1. All intellectual property rights, including copyrights, over the content available (or available for download) in the Publications, including text, photos, graphics, video, and audio materials ("Content"), belong to Economedia AD or its licensors. All rights are reserved. Publications and Content can be used only for Your personal, non-commercial use. See our General Terms of Use for more details.
  2. The User/Subscriber shall not have the right, under any form, to reproduce, distribute, resell, or share the works and journalistic materials included in the content of the media subject to the Subscription, nor to offer third parties, electronically or by any other means, access to (the whole or part of) the content of the Subscription.
  3. The User/Subscriber shall not have the right to mechanically, electronically, or otherwise copy, save, archive, or extract the Content outside the scope of the customary and normal visualization in a web browser or through the official applications for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  4. The Subscription does not grant the right to use automated systems, software, robots (bots), spiders, scripts, agents, "scrapers", or any other methods for bulk, systematic, or automated downloading (bulk download) or data mining.
  5. The Subscription does not grant the right of access to the Content for the purpose of using it for training artificial intelligence models (AI training), large language models (LLMs), or for commercial analyses, without the explicit written permission of Economedia AD.
  6. Upon establishing unusually high traffic, the use of unauthorized means of access, or systematic downloading of content from a single profile, Economedia AD shall have the right to immediately and without notice terminate the Subscription and block access to the profile of the user/subscriber. In such cases, the amount for the remaining period of the subscription shall not be refunded, and Economedia AD reserves the right to seek compensation for all incurred damages and lost profits through legal proceedings.
  7. In connection with Subscriptions, Economedia AD processes personal data of Clients/Subscribers, ensuring their privacy. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
  8. Commercial Use. The use of content subject to the Subscription for broader or commercial purposes (for example, in media monitoring services, corporate reports, or other commercial applications) can only be performed based on an explicitly signed licensing agreement for commercial use between the respective user and Economedia.
  9. Violations and Sanctions. In case of established unregulated use of content for commercial purposes, as well as in case of established violations of the conditions of the respective Subscription and sharing of user profiles and passwords, Economedia reserves its right to terminate access to the subscription, to demand compensation, and to undertake the respective legal actions.

XII. Others
  1. If any part or provision of these General Conditions is established as void or unfair, this does not affect the validity of any other part or provision.

These General Conditions for subscription enter into force on 10.06.2009, last amended as of 30.01.2025.
