Rossen Ivanov Rossen Ivanov

Rossen Ivanov is a managing partner at Entrea Capital, an independent M&A and corporate finance advisory firm in Bulgaria. Entrea Capital is exclusive representative for Bulgaria of M&A International, the world’s leading M&A alliance.
Prior to establishing Entrea Capital, Rossen Ivanov worked at McKinsey & Co. in New Jersey/New York, where he focused on consumer goods, industrial and private equity clients. Prior to McKinsey, he worked as an investment associate at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, based in London, where he was responsible for structuring debt and equity investments across Eastern Europe. Rossen started his career at Procter & Gamble Balkan Markets in Bucharest, where he was responsible for evaluating new product launches across South-East Europe for P&G’s largest product category. He holds an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from the American University in Bulgaria.

Ilko Stoyanov Ilko Stoyanov

Ilko Stoyanov is a local partner of Schoenherr in Sofia, where he specialises in Corporate, M&A and Competition Law. Ilko has graduated in law from the Sofia University and has an LL.M. degree from the Columbia Law School. Ilko regularly acts for clients on multinational acquisitions and corporate restructurings in the telecom, technology, insurance, manufacturing and energy industries. Ilko is speaker on conferences regarding foreign investments and author of publications in the field of the mergers and acquisitions in Bulgaria (The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Mergers & Acquisition (Global Legal Group, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011).

Valeri Petrov Valeri Petrov

Valeri Petrov is Partner at Bancroft Private Equity covering the company’s activities on the Balkans. Before joining Bancroft he was Investment Director with the private equity firm Global Finance, running the company’s activities in Bulgaria. Valeri led and co-led many transactions in different countries across the SEE region.
Prior to moving to the Private Equity industry Valeri was running the biggest paints& coatings company in Bulgaria (backed by private equity funds) as CEO where he did a complete turnaround bringing the company up to high profit levels and increasing its market capitalization almost ten times.
Valeri also worked for the Royal Dutch/Shell, and held various positions within the organisation.
Valeri holds an MSc in Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia. He also attended Management Academy in London and ETP on Business Management in Delaware University, Sofia branch.

Vlado Loukanov Vlado Loukanov

For the last five years Vlado Loukanov has served as the General Manager, Risk Management, for United Bulgarian Bank, member of NBG Group. He has a wide area of responsibilities, including loan portfolio management through the full credit cycle, capital planning, and market and liquidity risk management.
Before returning to Bulgaria in 2007, Vlado served for nine years for international financial institutions in New York, in areas including product development, portfolio management and risk management. Most recently at American Express he was the head of the function assessing partner banks in emerging markets and structuring deals, for the company’s Global Network Services unit.
Vlado started his professional career in the Bulgarian Foreign Service, and in 1993-96 served as a diplomat at the Bulgarian Embassy in Washington, DC.
Vlado received an MBA from Georgetown University and a graduate degree from the Moscow Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). He received training by Harvard Law School, Moody’s Credit Academy, Fitch Training, and others.   

Monika Fuernsinn Monika Fuernsinn

Dr. Monika Fuernsinn is Executive Director and Member of the Management Board in Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) EAD and also Chief Risk Officer responsible for risk management, workout, risk methodology, corporate financial analyses, collateral management.
Ms. Fuernsinn came to Raiffeisenbank from Investkredit AG, Vienna. She has more than 20 years of banking experience in the areas of crediting and risk management. She has worked at Volksbank AG and its subsidiary Investkredit AG, Bulgarian Unicredit Bulbank AD, where she was a Management Board member, and at Bank Austria/Unicredit.
She holds a PhD in legal science from the University of Vienna.

Assen Yagodin Assen Yagodin

Mr. Yagodin is former Executive Director and BoD member of Eurobank EFG Bulgaria. He is Deputy Chairman of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria. Since January 2010, Mr. Yagodin is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange - Sofia AD.  Besides his extensive more than 17 years experience in banking and finance, Mr. Yagodin holds Master’s degrees in Finance and in Business administration, and has several additional specializations in Salmon Smith Barney London, the Austrian Institute for Financial Derivatives, the Ministry of Finance in Luxembourg, etc.
At the end of 2010 Assen Yagodin was elected "Banker of the Year."

Ivailo Gospodinov Ivailo Gospodinov

Since 2006, Ivailo Gospodinov is Managing Director in Raiffeisen Investment Bulgaria. Presently, he is occupied with M&A consulting. Ivailo has worked on numerous transactions in Bulgaria as large international companies’advisor. He has respective experience in the energy, telecommunications, heavy industry, mining industry, primary industry, retail, waste management and other sectors.
Before joining Raiffeisen Investment Bulgaria, Ivailo has been working for Forem Consulting as Corporate Finance Director from 2005. There, he was responsible for the M&A counseling, corporate assessments and business plans making.
Previously, he was working as Audit Manager in Ernst & Young and Andersen. In Andersen, Ivailo has been part of various Bulgarian companies’ audits. He has significant experience in the preparation of different financial analyses and due diligences, as well as in the media and telecommunications, energy and heavy industry. Moreover, Ivailo has participated in several privatisation deals when working for international investors.
His promising career started in 1995 in Ernst & Young as Junior Analyst. As part of the Ernst & Young team, he has been involved in the Bulgarian bank sector privatization.
Ivailo has acquired Business Administration Bachelor Degree from Portsmouth University. He has successfully finished ACCA (2005). He completed diverse М&А, company assessments, financial modeling trainings.

Julian Gikov Julian Gikov

Julian is Associate Director at  Raiffeisen Investment, where he is involved in M&A consulting in Bulgaria and the CEE region. Since joining in 2008 he has worked as adviser on numerous large international M&A transactions – many of those jointly executed with Lazard. He has extensive investment banking experience in the energy, telecommunications, heavy industry, consumer goods, retail, agriculture, IT, RE and other sectors.
Prior to that, as part of KPMG’s Financial Services team, Julian has worked on assurance and corporate finance projects including audit, due diligence, and IPOs in various industries with focus on financial institutions. Before that, Julian also gained working experience at UBS, London - Investment Banking and Fixed Income divisions and at Ernst & Young, Stuttgart - Corporate Finance Dpt. where he was involved in large M&A and squeeze-outs transactions and company valuations. He has internship at Bloomberg, London.
Julian has specialized in banking at London School of Economics. Prior to that, he obtained an MBA degree in Germany and USA, and has a Bachelor in Financial Management & Accounting from The Buckingham University in the UK. He also has a PhD degree in Economics.

Milen Veltchev Milen Veltchev

Mr. Veltchev is Managing Director of VTB Capital.
He brings 7 years of international investment banking and corporate finance experience and 8 years of public service and government administration experience. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Veltchev served as the Finance Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria. In 2002 he received the Euromoney Finance Minister of the Year award. He also served as Governor of the World Bank, Governor of EBRD, and as a Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Consolidation Company. Prior to that, Mr. Veltchev also held the position of Vice President at Merrill Lynch's emerging markets sovereign debt team in London. Mr. Veltchev holds degrees from University of National and World Economy (MA) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MBA).

Hristo Savchev Hristo Savchev

Hristo Savchev is Vice Chairman of the Management Board of Prista Oil.
From 2003 to 2005 he was Secretary General of the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy. Before that he worked at Vinprom Rousse (subsidiary of Boyar Estates SA) successively as Administrative Director, Head of Human Resources and Legal Counsel, and at Customs Rousse as chief legal counsel.
He graduated from the English Language School "Geo Milev" in Rousse and holds a Masters degree in Law from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
Mr. Savchev is fluent in English.

Gergana Mantarkova Gergana Mantarkova

Gergana has been with KPMG since 1994 and in October 1997 became the first Bulgarian Partner. She was in charge of the Advisory practice providing a diversified portfolio of services and became Managing Partner of KPMG in Bulgaria in October 2000.
With the establishment of KPMG in the Balkans in 2006, Gergana was appointed Managing Partner of KPMG in the Balkans. 
Gergana leads the Transactions & Restructuring practice in KPMG in Bulgaria and KPMG in the Balkans, offering Financing, M&A, Valuation, Transaction Services, and Restructuring. She is also the Partner responsible for the Public Sector Advisory services. 
Gergana is a member of the KPMG CEE Partnership Board. She served as Chairperson of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Association of Management Consulting Organizations for six years and currently is a member of the Board.
Gergana graduated at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) in Sofia and also holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the joint program of the University of Bristol, UK, and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees, France.

Daniel Berg Daniel Berg

Daniel Berg was appointed EBRD’s Director in Bulgaria in July 2010. In this position, he is responsible for the Bank’s operations in the country, which includes monitoring a portfolio of approximately Euro 1 billion and developing new investments of around Euro 200-250 million per year.
Daniel joined EBRD in 1995 as an Advisor in the US Executive Director's Office. He transferred to EBRD’s Banking Department in 1997, where he worked for the Financial Institutions Team. 
In 2000, he moved to Kazakhstan and as a Principal Banker, implemented investments across sectors – including manufacturing, infrastructure and financial institutions. From Kazakhstan, in 2004, Daniel was appointed Head of Office in the Kyrgyz Republic, managing the office and overall operations. He was asked to assume a similar role in Albania from 2007-2010, i.e., until his most recent appointment in Sofia.
Prior to EBRD, Daniel worked as an economist in the US Department of Treasury.  He is educated in the US, at Rutgers College and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

Philippe Ougrinov Philippe Ougrinov

Philippe has in total 13 years of international experience in companies at managerial positions. His first international experience lies with the field of financial audits, strategic consulting and corporate finance for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in France (2 years), Romania (2 years), Serbia (1 year) Russia (1 month) and Bulgaria. Since 2004, as one of the co-founder of CallPoint, a leader in the BPO multilingual Services, Philippe started his entrepreneurial career. He holds a master in Business Administration from the Sofia Economy University, he has a diploma for chartered accountant in UK (ACCA) and has done a one year specialization in a private college in Paris ESCE with focus on international business affairs. Philippe speaks fluently French, English, German, Bulgarian and at conversational level Russian and Romanian.
His key role in the CallPoint project is to extend and grow the business to a 50 Mio. corporation through both organic and external growth.

Viktor Manev Viktor Manev

Viktor Manev, Founder and Managing Partner of MMC, is a Certified Management Consultant and a member of the Membership and Ethics Commissions of BAMCO (the national association of management consultants). Viktor Manev started his carrier in the biggest insurance company on the Bulgarian market, DZI (1993), and was involved with the marketing strategy of the life insurance division (1994) and also the formation of the first private pension fund in Bulgaria (1995). Viktor Manev served as a chief financier of the Center for Mass Privatization (CMP) at the Council of Ministers (1996-98), where he was responsible for the entire institutional financing of the privatization process of more than 1,000 Bulgarian entities (that represented 18% of the state-owned assets). Since 1994 Viktor Manev is actively involved in structuring of deals at various corporate finance stages throughout Southeastern Europe, successfully implements strategic management practices and active corporate governance participant. Viktor Manev founded the research and analysis department in MMC that served numerous investigative and competitive intelligence assignments worldwide.
Viktor Manev has a BS degree in Finance (1993) from WVWC, West Virginia and specialization in comparative studies in the University of Oxford (1997). Viktor Manev has co-authored academic publication and was a member of the Society for Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP).

Ilian Skarlatov Ilian Skarlatov

Ilian Skarlatov has been CEO of KBC Securities Bulgaria since July 2008.
He graduated from London University, Thames Valley University, majoring in Business Administration and the Athens University of Economics, majoring in information systems supporting decision making.
He has worked as an analyst at a Greek investment firm, as a Capital Markets Director at the Bulgarian investment intermediary Sofia International Securities.
Mr. Skarlatov was also a member of the board of Capital Management and Asset Management Sofia.

Borislav Ivanov Borislav Ivanov

Borislav Ivanov was born in 1973 in Varna, Bulgaria. He completed his secondary school education in the specialized mathematics school in Varna. In 1999 Mr. Ivanov graduated from the Free University of Berlin, Germany with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
While in university Borislav completed several internships in a number of business consulting companies in Germany, Spain and the USA. After joining Deutsche Bank in 2000 he develops his professional career in the structure of the financial institution. In the first four years he held different positions in the M&A and Business Consulting Departments in the headquarters in Frankfurt. Since 2004 Borislav Ivanov has been strongly involved in the business development processes of Deutsche Bank in Central and Eastern Europe and has been responsible for variety of growth projects and activities in the region. In July 2007 Borislav Ivanov became Head of the Official Representative Office of Deutsche Bank AG in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this period Deutsche Bank AG was a key player in some of the largest M&A and financing transactions in the country.

Dimitar Kostadinov Dimitar Kostadinov

Dimitar Kostadinov is a Managing Partner at Entrea Capital. Dimitar joined the firm in 2008 and has been instrumental for its development as the leading independent investment banking service provider in Bulgaria. He successfully executed multiple fundraising, debt restructuring and M&A transactions with a focus on the FMCG and industrials sectors. Prior to joining Entrea Capital, Dimitar Kostadinov served as the executive director, head of clients, and a member of the management team at ING Bank, Bulgaria. Dimitar was responsible for ING’s portfolio of corporate clients, strategic positioning, and all aspects of business origination and relationship management in the country. During his tenure at ING, Dimitar led the overall development of structured finance and corporate banking operations in the country through leveraging ING’s international product expertise.
In 2004, upon returning to Bulgaria, Dimitar acted as the financial and economic advisor to the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, advising him on policy issues in the transportation, infrastructure, and telecommunications sectors. Dimitar managed senior staff in the restructuring and strengthening of key state-owned enterprises in the telecommunications and marine transport sectors.
From 2001 to 2004, Dimitar was an equity research analyst at UBS Investment Banking, initially in Tokyo, Japan, and subsequently in London, the UK. At UBS, Dimitar covered the Consumer Goods and TMT sectors. While at UBS London, Dimitar published research reports and recommended investment strategies with a focus on the European FMCG sector. He liaised with companies’ senior management to discuss financial results and corporate strategic positioning. While as UBS Tokyo, Dimitar researched Japanese media stocks with a focus on advertising, broadcasting, and satellite sectors. He also helped develop the bank’s proprietary trading desk and worked on the IPO of Dentsu, the largest Japanese advertising agency.
Dimitar started his financial career with Salomon Smith Barney in the US where he developed and implemented equity and mutual funds investment strategies for high-net-worth investors.  
Dimitar holds an MBA degree in International Finance from Brandeis University and a BA degree in Business Administration from the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG).

Pavlin Petkov Pavlin Petkov

Pavlin Petkov joined Axxess Capital in 2007 and is currently the Managing Director for Bulgaria. He has led the acquisition, restructuring and sale of companies in South East Europe. Axxess Capital manages three private equity funds with assets of more than EUR 250 million. Before joining Axxess Capital Pavlin was Regional Manager at Allianz in Germany where he was responsible for the business in South East Europe. From 2005 he was Portfolio Manager of mutual funds for Allianz in Italy. Immediately after obtaining his MBA degree from Wharton Business School he joined the Investment Banking Division of Lehman Brothers in the UK. Pavlin started his career in PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bulgaria. He holds the professional qualifications ACCA and CFA.
