Acceptable use policy for Sofia Echo Media comments

By posting comments to any Sofia Echo Media website, you are deemed to have read and agreed to this Acceptable Use Policy, as well as our General Terms and Conditions.

Sofia Echo Media and its majority owner Economedia Plc are not responsible for the content of readers' opinions.

Publishing comments

To publish a comment, both text fields for name and comment have to be filled in.

Readers can notify forum moderators of comments that violate the Acceptable User Policy by clicking the "report comment" button. Forum moderators will prioritise reviewing such complaints.

Due to repeated misuse of the facility to post links to external sites, it has been disabled.

Moderating comments and banning policy

Site moderators have the right to hide or delete posts that contain:

- Spam or unsolicited commercial messages.

- Obscene or vulgar texts, including racial insults, sexual, ethnic or religious obscenities.

- Incitement to racial discrimination, ethnic and religious intolerance, sexual discrimination or violence.

- Insulting descriptions regarding physical, intellectual or moral qualities of particular individuals.

- Pornographic content or content that violates copyright laws.

Members whose posts repeatedly contain one or more of the above, may be barred from publishing their opinions on all Economedia sites.


Moderators may not:

- change the text of a comment.

- hide, close or delete topics, comments or parts of comments, if they do not contain any of the above types of content.

- give personal opinions or express a bias towards certain users or topics.
 

If a user finds that site moderators have violate their rights or these rules, they can file an objection to web@sofiaecho.com. Complaints received are considered by a representative of Sofia Echo Media, whose ruling is binding.
