Dobromir Simidchiev Dobromir Simidchiev

Dobromir Simidchiev has a Masters degree in Water treatment from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy and a MBA diploma.
In 2011 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works in charge of water. Previously he was director of "Engineering services and assets" of Sofiyska voda AD, where he took part in drafting the plan, with which  the Sofia Municipality applied for ISPA funding.
He is also member of the Bulgarian Water Association.

Bruno Roche Bruno Roche

Bruno Roche has more than 20 years experience in the water and wastewater sector.
In 2008 he was appointed General Manager of Apa Nova Bucharest, the private water and wastewater operator providing services to 2.5 million people in Bucharest.
Mr. Roche is also a Veolia Water Country Director for Romania. Between 2003 and 2008 Bruno is a CEO of Apa Nova Ploesti, the private water and wastewater operator providing services to 230 000 people in Ploesti.He has an Engineering Degree from the Superior National School of Chemistry from CLERMONT-FERRAND, France.

Adrian Cristea Adrian Cristea

Adrian Cristea has more than 20 years experience in the water and wastewater sector. Since 2009 he is the Manager of the Municipal Authority for the Regulation of Public Services, AMRSP, in Bucharest.
Prior to this he held different managerial positions at the Agency for Regulation of the Water and Sewerage service levels for the city of Bucharest, ARBAC.  Mr. Cristea has an Engineering Degree from the Technical University of Construction in Bucharest, Romania.

Gerhard Reibersdorfer Gerhard Reibersdorfer

Gerhard Reibersdorfer has been Managing Director of WSG Wasser Service GmbH since October 2007. Reibersdorfer is in charge of the strategic alignment for internationalisation of the company and a consultancy contract for water transmission pipeline.
His previous working experience includes a number of management positions at DuPont Operational Excellence Solutions (July 2000 – September 2007), DuPont Permasep Products (November 1995 – June 2000), Thyssen Aqua Engineering (1988 – 1995).
Reibersdorfer graduated from the Petroleum engineering university Leoben, central Austria, in 1987 with a Dipl.-Ing. Degree.

Mark Muller Mark Muller

Born 1971. Studies: Exec. MBA (Instituto Empresa IE, Madrid- Shanghai. B.A (Hons.) Urban Geography and Planning (Universidad Complutense, Madrid). Since joining Aqualia (FCC Group) he has participated in the International Division of the Company, in Egypt and Mexico. Currently, as General Manager of Aqualia New Europe, the J.V. between Aqualia and EBRD, he is actively involved in implementing the company in Central and Eastern Europe. Interests: English Literature, Marathon running, FCC Volunteer in Social projects.

Orlin Dikov Orlin Dikov

Orlin Dikov is a civil engineer with more than 25 years of professional experience. He currently works in the Sofia office of the World Bank as Infrastructure Operations Officer and Country Environmentalist. In this capacity he provides advice to project teams related to environmental issues including: (a) environmental assessments; (b) monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure impacts and outcomes; (c) environmental legal, institutional and policy frameworks
He has been involved in various Environmental Impact Assessments of projects, Environmental Assessments of plans and programmes, Environmental Due-Diligence and Past Environmental Damages Studies as a Team leader and Environmental expert.
Recently he has been the team leader for the environmental assessment of the Bulgarian National Strategy for Regional Development, and the environmental assessment of the Regional Development Plan for the South-Central Planning Region in Bulgaria.
Orlin Dikov was a member of the team that prepared Guidelines for EIA of projects and EA of Plans and Programmes, which are in used in Bulgaria.
He has provided training to local experts on EIA topics such as screening, scoping, impact assessment, mitigation and EIS preparation in Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro and FYR Macedonia.
He is familiar with the requirements of the integrated pollution prevention and control and is certified lead auditor in ISO 14001 by Moody International.  

Atanaska Nikolova Atanaska Nikolova

Atanaska Nikolova serves as deputy mayor in EU affairs and ecology in the Burgas municipality since August 2009.
From June 2008 to July 2009 she was Director of the European Integration Department at Burgas Municipality and was responsible for attracting and effective absorption of Structural and Cohesion Funds of the EU as well as for the international relations and partnerships of the municipality.
Since 1999 she's been working with the NGO sector as a project manager or an expert on environmental management and sustainable local development. Under her guidance over 30 international and national projects have been successfully completed. Consultant to local authorities in the Black Sea region in the development of Municipal development strategies, Community programs for waste management and municipal environmental protection projects. Member of the consulting team that developed the Regional Development Plan of the Southern Bulgarian Region. Member of the consulting team that prepared the National Report "The Objectives of the Millennium, Bulgaria 2008", author of Chapter 7 - "Ensuring Environmental Sustainability".
Education
Higher education in Biotechnology and Engineering ecology, MSc degree in Environmental protection and sustainable development, additional qualifications in Strategic planning guidance, Development of environmental policies, Development of strategies for sustainable local and regional development. Further educational qualifications, obtained in Belgium, Netherlands, UK, USA, Hungary, Russia, etc.

Radoslav Russev Radoslav Russev

Radoslav Russev joined NECA in 2011 with industry focus on water and environment. He has gained operations and management experience in the water sector for a period of about 10 years in the Bulgarian divisions of United Utilities and Veolia Water. Rado's experience covers both core functions such as network operations, asset management, customer service and others, as well as wider business areas such as regulation, tariff modelling and investment planning. He also has experience in the area of waste management having represented Coca Cola Hellenic in the local packaging waste recycling company - EcoPack.
Radoslav holds a B.A. degree from the University of Sofia and is a current MBA student at Warwick Business School.

Harald Schoelzel Harald Schoelzel

Harald Schoelzel is senior water specialist at the European Investment Bank. His experience in the water sector covers various positions from Consulting over Water Utility Management and Business Development to working with international organisations and international financing institutions in different regions of the world. He joined the European Investment Bank in 2004 and supports the European and international water sector operations of the Bank and more specifically the UK Water Sector and PPP projects.
He holds a MSc in Civil Engineering and Economics.

Ivan Ivanov Ivan Ivanov

Ivan Ivanov was born in 1973. He graduated from the French High School in Sofia and afterwards the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia.
He specialized in chemical engineering in Toulouse. He has MA degrees in Business Administration from the Francophone Institute of Administration and Management in Sofia and the University of Nantes as well an MBA degree from the American University in Bulgaria.
Ivan Ivanov has been working in the water supply and sewerage sector since 1999. He has worked in the French company Lyonnaise des eaux on projects related to management of processes and assets in the water supply network of Paris.
From 2000 to 2012 he was with Sofiyska Voda, where he has headed the Concession Compliance Unit.
In Febryary 2012 Ivan Ivanov was elected Chairman of the Bulgarian Water Association (BWA).

Ivaylo Kolev Ivaylo Kolev

Ivaylo Kolev is an advisor in International Finance Corporation. He has more than 10 years experience in the water and wastewater sector with special focus on regulatory price setting and financing. He is currently a member of the IFC advisory global water PPP group and is responsible for water related projects in the EMENA region. His previous working experience includes positions in United Utilities Middle East (March 2009 – June 2010), Sofia Water Company (October 2006 – February 2009), Ministry of Finance (October 2002 – September 2006). Kolev has two MSc degrees from Sofia University and London School of Economics and Political Science.

Iliyana Tsanova Iliyana Tsanova

Iliyana Tsanova holds a position as a Senior Banker with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London, UK. Iliyana has a substantial experience in structuring, financing and execution of infrastructure projects, including PPPs and fund-based investment products in the field of water and waste water, electricity and heat energy generation and supply, transport, waste management. Iliyana provided advisory to a number of institutional clients with regards to restructuring of public utility companies, establishment of regulatory authorities, utility sector reform and fiscal decentralisation.
