Ognian Donev Ognian Donev

Ognian Donev is born on December 22, 1957. He studies in Hamburg and Vienna and completes its higher education in International Economic Relations in the Economic Institute in Sofia. In 1986 Mr. Donev completes his PhD in Economics in Berlin. Mr. Donev works in the private sector since 1990 and for 7 years he represents Metro Cash & Carry in Bulgaria managing the export of Bulgarian goods for the "Metro" chain (Parpool, Gemex). For the period 1993-1997 Mr. Donev represents large international traders of black metals in Bulgaria. PhD Ognian Donev is CEO of Sopharma since October 2000. He takes part in other management bodies as the Board of directors of Unipharm AD, Sopharma Trading AD, Doverie United Holding AD etc. He is Vice-president of the German-Bulgarian Trade-Industrial Chamber and a Chairman of the Bulgarian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Mr. Donev was awarded the "Burov Prize", the prize of the "Atanas Burov" Foundation for industrial management. He is Member of the Board of Europharm SMC (the European knowledge platform for small and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies).

Dr. Kiril Nikoltchev Dr. Kiril Nikoltchev

Dr. Kiril Nikoltchev has been General Manager for Bulgaria of the biopharmaceutical company AbbVie since 2013.
Previously, he worked at Abbott Laboratories, where he went up the ladder – growing from Product to General Manager. Prior to joining Abbott, he was part of several well-known companies on the local market, such as DePuy, Johnson & Johnson, and Solvay Pharma.
Dr. Nikoltchev is member of the Board of the Association of Research-based Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Bulgaria and co-chair of the Health Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria. In 1999 he graduated in "Medicine" at the Medical University of Varna, and in 2012 obtained a Master's degree in "Business Administration" at the City University of Seattle.

Ioana Bianchi Ioana Bianchi

Since the end of 2013 Ioana Bianchi is Market Access Head for Novartis Oncology in Romania. Ioana Bianchi graduated medicine at the University "Carol Davila" in Bucharest, where she specialized in "Public Health and health management". In 2007 she obtained a Maitrise from University of Medicine in Nantes, France. For more than 2 years Dr Bianchi worked as healthcare strategy consultant for the National Center for Hospital Expertise of France, where she provided  consultancy for public and private hospitals, as well as regional and national health authorities. Since 2011, Ioana Bianchi was personal advisor to the President of the National Health Insurance House in Romania working on projects with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. In 2012 Dr Bianchi worked as personal advisor to the Minister of Health in Romania and in 2013 she became Head of the HTA Unit in the MoH.

Vassilis Gerоgiannis Vassilis Gerоgiannis

Vassilis Gerоgiannis is Vaccines Market Leader at GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines for South & Eastern Europe, Canada. He's been part of GSK since 1998 and has held various positions at the company - commercial director, marketing manager etc. He has Doctorate’s Degree in Industrial Pharmacy from University of Athens. He attended seminars in Marketing, Management, Economic Evaluation of Medicines, he delivered lectures in Pharmaceutical Marketing, Pharmacology and Indutrial Pharmacy. Vassilis Gerоgiannis has Industrial Pharmacy research articles published in scientific press and presented to scientific congresses.




Deyan Denev Deyan Denev

Mr. Deyan Denev is heading the Association of Research-based Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Bulgaria since October 2003. He has a legal education from Sofia University and is an expert in pharmaceutical legislation and pharmaceutical policy. As Director of the association he is leading the advocacy activities of R&D pharmaceutical industry in Bulgaria on key issues regarding pharmaceutical policy, regulatory environment, intellectual property, pharmaceutical market development. He is a member of the Supervisory Board of the National Health Insurance Fund on behalf of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria since January 2014.
Between 2008 and 2013 he was a representative of the pharmaceutical industry in the Transparency Commission, which is an appeal body for all piecing and reimbursement decisions in Bulgaria. He is a member of the National HIV/AIDS Council at the Bulgarian Government and a member of the CEE Task Force of EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations).

Dr. Krassimira Chemishanska Dr. Krassimira Chemishanska

Dr. Krassimira Chemishanska is CEO of Amgen Bulgaria from the opening of the subsidiary  in Bulgaria. Previously she has held manager posts at multinational innovative pharmaceutical companies. She was also a longtime Marketing director and Member of the Boards of directors of AstraZeneca.
Dr. Krasimira Chemishanska graduated Medicine at the  Medical University, Sofia and has been working as a research associate in the field of clinical Immunology. Following the challenges related to her professional career, she graduated in Marketing, MBA General Management from  City University  Seattle. She also has a masters degree in Management from International Business School.
She is a Member of the Board of Directors of AmCham since 2011, chairwoman of the Committee on Health at AmCham since 2014. Member of the Board of Directors of ARPharM and Junior Achievement Foundation since 2013. She is a longtime member of BBLF (Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum) and lecturer  in pharmaceutical Industry master classes.

Dávid Dankó Dávid Dankó

Dávid Dankó is founder and managing partner of Ideas & Solutions, an advisory firm which provides strategic consultancy to pharma and medical device companies, focusing on middle-income markets. He is also research leader at the Corvinus University of Budapest, where he lectures pharmaceutical and medical device reimbursement, health care management and health care financing. Dávid Dankó received his MSc degree in Economics at Corvinus in 2003, and his PhD degree in 2012 with a thesis on long-term resource management in the pharma industry. Dávid has 10 years of experience in health care management, gradually focusing on the economics of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Between 2003 and 2008, he worked as a consultant specialized in health care and organization development. From 2008 to 2010, he was deputy head of the Department of Reimbursement at the Hungarian National Health Insurance Fund, where he was responsible for pharmaceutical and medical device reimbursement strategy, international cooperation as well as research and analysis. For several years, Dávid Dankó has been a lecturer at Université Claude Bernard Lyon-1 (EMAUD), Semmelweis University of Budapest, Debrecen University, Eötvös Loránd University and the former Vienna School of Clinical Research. He is a regular speaker at workshops and conferences on pharmaceutical and medical device reimbursement. He organizes and moderates payer communication and negotiation trainings for pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and co-edited a university textbook titled ‘Pharmaceutical reimbursement’ published in 2013.

Professor Gencho Natchev Professor Gencho Natchev

 Professor Gencho Natchev is the CEO of St. Ekaterina University Hospital. He graduated in medicine with honors in 1975and specialized in general surgery and cardiac surgery. He specialized at the Royal College of Surgeons in London, England, the German Heart Center / DHZ / in Berlin, Germany, the Medical College Baylor in Houston, USA, the Minneapolis Heart Institute, the U.S.
Currently he is a national consultant in cardiac surgery, head of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Sofia Medical University, chairman of the General Assembly of the Sofia Medical University, chairman of the Bulgarian Society of Cardiac Surgery. He has won the following titles and honors: Medic of the Year, 1998; Physician of the Year, 2006; Physician of Bulgaria, 2009; "Chovekolubie", or Philanthropy Prize; Honorary Citizen of Kazanlak; Honorary Citizen of Sofia; Stara Planina Order First Class; Doctor of Southeast Europe Award at the Second International SEEMF Congress. Professor Natchev is a member of a number of scientific societies: World Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons, European Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons, International Society of Cardio-vascular Surgery - national delegate, The society of Thoracic surgeons, Euro-Asian Bridge - member Board, Danubian forum - founding member and member of the Board, Bulgarian Association for Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery - president until 2011, Bulgarian Society of cardiac Surgery - Chairman, Bulgarian Surgical Society, Society of Cardiology in Bulgaria, Society for Vascular Surgery. He has more than 220 publications in Bulgarian and foreign medical journals.

Agnès Couffinhal Agnès Couffinhal

Agnès Couffinhal is a Senior economist at the World Bank which she joined in 2005. Prior to this, she worked for the World Health Organization and as a senior research fellow at the institute for Research and Information in Health Economics (IRDES) in France. She is a health systems and health financing expert who has predominantly worked in the greater Europe region.

Desislava Atanasova Desislava Atanasova

Desislava Atanasova is Bulgarian GERB party politician, Minister of Health from March 2012 to March 2013. She graduated law, political science and European integration.
Since 2002 she is a judicial candidate in the District Court "Ruse". Between 2005 and 2007 she was a legal adviser at the Regional Clinic for psychiatric disorders at a hospital in the city of Ruse. She was also legal adviser at the Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment Ruse from 2007 to 2009. Meanwhile, she is a municipal councilor in the Municipal Council of the City of Ruse and chairman of the Committee of law, public order and security.
Between 2009 and 2012 she was a member of GERB Ruse at the 41th National Assembly. From July 14, 2010 she was Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Health.

Dr. Daniela Daritkova is Memeber of Parliament in the 42nd National Assembly. Born in Plovdiv. She graduated in medicine from St. Petersburg Pediatric Medical Institute.
Dr. Daritkova is a regional leader of GERB WOMEN - Smolyan. Dr. Daniela Daritkova is major candidate of GERB – Smolyan at the 2009 parliamentary elections.
